World Cheese Awards 2014-15 3 x bronze
The World Cheese Awards is the world’s largest cheese competition. This year’s ceremony took place in London with a record number of entries. Around 2,600 different cheeses from 33 countries were presented to the international jury of experts from 20 countries around the world.
Schärdinger Alpenzirler
Schärdinger Alpenzirler is carefully treated with red cultures throughout the course of its six-month ageing period. This gives it its light yellow, easy-melting texture with the occasional round eye along with its robust, spicy flavour.
Schärdinger Dolce Bianca
Schärdinger Dolce Bianca blends the mild mushroom aroma of fine white mould with the piquant flavour of blue veining.
Schärdinger Moosbacher
Moosbacher cheese in its traditional linen cloth, made especially for it, is the only large-eyed cheese that is also ripened on the surface. The double ripening process gives it its full flavour, juicy bite and slightly piquant aroma, and makes it a classic among Austrian cheeses and a winner of numerous other awards over the years.
KÄSIADE 2014 - 1 x silver und 2 x bronze
The “12th Cheese Olympics” were held in November in Hopfgarten, Tyrol. The international competition takes place every two years. This year experts evaluated over 400 cheese and butter specialities from 132 dairies from Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Croatia, Germany, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Slovakia and even Finland.
